Windermere station is just below the houses, so nobody needs to drive.

Frequently asked questions
Can we bring in outside caterers?
Yes — we can put you in touch with outside caterers we work with regularly, once you’ve booked.
Can you put us in touch with a local wine supplier who will deliver to the property?
Yes — Kevin from Windermere Wines will deliver straight to the properties, and on a decent-sized order he’ll give Terrace guests up to 10% off.
We will be bringing quite a few cars — do you have off-road parking?
Yes — we have between 6 and 8 car parking spaces at each house.
Some of our guests will be arriving by train — are you near the station?
The Terrace Windermere was built for the directors of the Kendal Windermere Railway so they could look over their ‘train-set’ — which is a long way of saying we’re located just above the railway station.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Yes — Booths is next door to the station. It’s the Waitrose of the North and will have everything you need.
Can we have a meeting at the houses?
Yes — if you’re having a Christmas party you could use the cinema to deliver an end-of-year presentation, or use the dining room for something more formal.
Could we work from the property?
Yes — you could bring your team (or part of your team) for a few days and work from the houses. We have good wifi throughout the properties.
